so I just got another E36 M3 {Helrot red}. I was on my way to work early this week and another green e36 pulled up next to me. It had full M-tech bodykit, mirrors, rims, door molding{replicators usually forget these} and m3 badges. anyways he proceeds to pass me and to my surprise...what do you know.....no m3 exhaust. he had a stock 325/328 exhaust. This guy was riding next to me the whole time zooming in and out. I felt it was only right to put him in place. I pull up next to him and lower my window, he proceeds and lowers his half way. As I attempt to talk to him I also notice no vaders{E36 M3 recaro seats} I was lost for words I just looked at him, pointed at his car and nodded my head in disapointment. His look was fu*king priceless!! He realized I knew he had a fake M3. He went from B) to  I don't mind people putting on m-kits or amg kits, but I can't stand people putting on a fake badge ie; M3,C36,C43,etc

side note: I saw a C43 with a crooked C280 badge. It was a real C43 but was re-badged C280, it was some older lady's so I figure she probably didn't even know the differance :(

Bothers me too -

I don't mind upgrading parts and sporting a badge/sticker of the brand of parts, but to rebadge your car to pass for a model for which it is not, that I frown upon.

Rice not exempt - Accord Type-R's, Civic Type-R's, DC5 Type-R's - unless the steering wheel is on the right side, the body kit and stickers fail to compensate.

I think badge enginerring is as whack as the next guy, but I'm not about to roll down my window and express my disgust to some guy. Its his car and he probably enjoys it, let him have his fun. At the end, its only a car - a box we sit in to take us from point A to point B. Thats it.

I would never waste my time. However, this was the case of one trying to race/play with me. I just wanted him to stop taunting me and at the same time point out that he ain't fooling everyone.

A P-car will take you to point C ;)

BTW I hadn't seen you name for a while. I post every once and a while. It'll never be like the old days..

I live in Palm Beach Gardens now, not too far from you amg142 (arent you in Miami). Maybe we should meet up some time.

I didnt mean to come off as unagreeing earlier. I just like to remind everyone every chance I get that sometimes we (me included) get all involved in material things and it takes away from the things that matter like a day at the beach or good glass of wine.

By the way, email me at dtmfan76@hotmail.com I saw your thread about training, in Ohio while in law school I was training jiu jitsu and Muay Thai under Jorge Gurgel out of Cincinnati (one of the welterweight contestants in the current Spike TV "Ultimate FIghter 2" show). Rich Franklin even used to train there on weekends (Rich is UFC fighter and is one of the coaches on Ultimate Fighter 2).

Being new to the area, I want to see if you know any schools in West Palm Beach area you would recommend. Email me bro.

Since we're on the OT of UF2 show, I know Chuck Liddell and the crew, and one of the current welterweights, Jason Von Flue, is a friend of mine and bartender at the bar I bounce at. They all train together here in SLO. SO in short, my friends beat your friends up.

Thats great who you know, but I actually train under who I know. And now that I left Cincinnati where Gurgel's school was, I am told that American Top Team (based out of Miami) has a school near me in West Palm area. I'm always into something. By the way, based on his performance in PRIDE, I wouldnt brag about knowing Chuck Liddell (just like I dont brag about knowing Scott Sheely after his performance in K1, though he trains at Gurgel's school)

I was asked to come and train w/ them, but my fat ass would rather go eat than sweat. And Adam at HPS is 6'2 and 3% bodyfat.

Doc, since this is so grossly off-topic, who do you think will win welterweight in UF2? I may be biased but I am certain its Jorge Gurgel. I mean, the show gives him so much camera time. Plus my experience with him is that he truely has a fighter's heart. I outweighed him by 50 pounds before I left Ohio last May (me at 220, he at 170) and he still always whipped my azz like I didnt know what was going on.

Who do you think will win? And did you see last episode? What was the "Irish Handgrenade" or whatever that guy calls himself thinking for picking who he did. I knew he wouldnt last one round, and I was right. After all those elbows getting dropped on him, I am surprised he didnt come out with a twisted face.

Jorge doesn't look bad at all. The Irish homie got his ass beat bad! Just like Chuck isn't a grappler, once on he ground, he's done with!

At this point I really don't have any favorites. I asked JAson last night what was coming up, but of course he couldn't tell me. We shall just wait and see.

You have a E36 M3? Have you checked out DA motorsports? They have a 1100hp E36 turbo M3! They also have a supercharger they sell for less than 5k for over 500hp. E36 M3 was my dream car when I was in high school, then the CLK came out, so I got it. :D

I'm currently training under Mike Lee Kanarek out in Davie (one of the best in S.Florida, buddy holds seminars of like 800+ around the states). I train in Kickboxing, muay thai and israeli defense fighting. I just got into BJJ/grappling but it's been hard finding the time. I train monday-thurday and workout monday-friday and with work I sometimes don't even have the time. One of my friends who used to train with me, now lives right by Top Team S.Miami 8th street, he keeps asking me to go with him. I was also invited to go train at Top team Miramar (North Miami) by a Top team fighter that goes to my gym. but like I said I barely have anytime as it is. I'll probably be taking a week off and train bjj at top team to see what they got. I'll email you and let you know..

Well, looks like I was wrong. I cant believe his performance on tonight's Ultimate Fighter 2 - he was doing all kinds of things he always taught me not to do (i.e. laying on his back on the ground). I couldnt believe Jason of all people beat him. Jorge has had a busted knee for a long time but I have seen him win against tougher people that Jason. Damn.
