here are some pictures of my recently bought 2001 C270CDI in designo silver (029) with twotoned designo (nappa) leather interior...the car was bought with 100.000km and quite some factory fitted options (took me 6 months to find)...
Whatever wasn't fitted from factory has been added before I bothered to register the car...this first (and main) modification took almost 3 weeks.

AS IT WAS WHEN BOUGHT:

I swapped the wheel for 17inch adharaz rims with wintertires and have raised the front 1cm and rear 3cm compared to the height on these pictures...as it was slightly low indeed.

I still have to update the entire ESP system to make it compatible with distronic (this car is 4 months too old) and have some more modifications planned for the future but I will have to save up first.

thanks for he thumbs up

...today I took the winterwheels off (17 inch adharaz with 225/45-17 nokian wintertires) and put a set of new multispoke mercedes 18 inch rims on (225/40-18 front & 255/35-18 rear) for temporary use only...I did not drive with those as I do not want to wash rims like that, but who knows...I might go for those in the future anyways as I do like the look of it...:

the rims have 209 partnumbers - so that is probably what they are used on...the rims look the same as the multispoke CLS rims (don't know if you get those in the US) but with a different offset

The thing I like the most about these multispoke rims is that they fill the fenders perfectly (with a 5mm spacer upfront) which is something the AMGs don't (those seem to need a 10mm spaver upfront and 5mm spacer in the rear to look the same)...I just don't see myself cleaning those rims (I have a 7 spoke max policy).

IMHO those 209 wheels look the best :D I normally don't like that style of wheel but it really looks goo don your wagon.

I never thought of buying anything other than an Audi Avant....but I definitely would sway for a w203 wagon only IF Steve can replicate some of that magic for mine!!

...after having enjoyed the car for a while it was time for some more updated/upgrades...so: recently installed parts came out and went in again...makes me wonder how many times more I will do that...

The instrument cluster frame in the dash has been swapped for a W209 CLK one so that I could install a W209 DIESEL instrument cluster (with mainly W211 E-class avantgarde innerlife) so that I gained:
1) a better looking instrument cluster
2) permanently available temp gauge for the coolant
3) an extra variable setting to switch the auto folding mirrors when locking on/off
4) a warning that the sunroof is open when locking the car (W203 2001 IC didn't have that)
5) full support of the W211/W219 Tire Pressure Monitor System (which has been installed as well)

Besides that IC, I recently added an original mercedes AMG muffler as well (diesel specific) and I added the wiring and relais for parameter steering for which I will have to find the time to install the steering housing.

so - two more options to add to the car's datalist:
213 parameter steering
475 TPMS
