I've got the 3.0. How much, what's required in install/removal, and what's it look like. Got bigger pics? TinmanF1@yahoo.com (http://mailto:tinmanf1@yahoo.com)

You forgot to mention, its sucks in hot air and actually decreases engine performance.
You enjoy bashing me over at 190rev, so don't forget to add some smart comments about "toilet handle"s over here. Let eveyone see how much of a genius you are.

Hey, you don't like it, don't buy it. It's simple. But since you didn't buy it. Don't picket line my strings. I didn't know you did an incoming air temperature analysis on my design.

Ok, your design sucks hot air too if you aren't moving. There's no way you can say that you have zero engine air intake when you stop moving. You can't get your shielded intake close enough to the opening next to the radiator to keep radiantly heated air from entering your precious shielded filter. Similarly, if the car isn't moving with my intake installed, there will be some warmed air taken in. However, as soon as the car is in forward motion, with the ram scoop removed (just as in ur design), the incoming air charge temperature will be reduced in addition to not having the heat retaining airbox to deal with.

Ok I sense a childish remark...
Still if you don't like it then don't bash him in the first place...your design just copy his in my opinon....
He merely stated a fact that you forgot to mention..
And he has the intake made a long time ago....
so please behave !!!, and act maturely...especially here...!!!!

I agree that the intake I built sucks in hot air, as a matter of fact, the air intake temps rose about 10 degrees, even using a shielded filter in front of the grill opening.
Since there was no hard evidence that these types of air intakes worked or not, I experimented. For what its worth, I switched back to the stock air intake system with a K&N drop in filter.
Oh while were at it.
Steelwindows air intake is a inexpensive Honda Civic tube/filter he picks up off of Ebay for $20 and then adds the rubber boot assembly onto it.

Here is the rubber boot for $20

So for roughly $60 depending upon shipping, you can build your own if your so inclined to do so.
I remember when my ex girlfriend told me she bought a turbocharger for her Predule at $250. I was jealous. When i saw it i almost died because i laughed too much. i remembered i bought a similar air blower for my boat at lowes for $15 plus tax.
This country is made of people who live off people who are ignorant. It is the way of life the law of the jungle. The guy has a good idea to make money, let give him credit, but also he has to be honest, i talk with a high MB mechanic and he told me that the mercedes airbox is better, also i really don't need a KNN cause the gain isn't much(about 2-3 HP).
so "stealwidow" keep selling your stuff as much as you can before people start getting smart.
AFTER ALL THIS IS A FREE COUNTRY ISN'T IT? :)
