ok, before anybody starts jumping to conslusions, i want to say that i was suprised as well. The m3 was the luxery package.
so i was going to a club with my friend and we get passed by two m3s, one being a gold e46 and one being a white e36. they were messing around with each other, and passe me. the guy in the white m3 kinda stopped for a second to observe my car and then continued on. I left them alone, but about 3 minutes later, i tought id go and have fun and see what kind of chances i have so i pull up next to him, and the gold m3 is on the far right. I see the guy wants to race cause his car starts to jerk as he changes gears but end up out of room before we could even run. So the lane opens up i down shift to fourth, and punch it as we were dead even to begin with. We start going from 80 and work our way to 130, in the mean while the m3 fell behind half a car. I look at the speedo, and i notice the speed i was going to and i just hit the brake, as the m3 passes me, and continues on till probably 140 if not more. he slows down but stays ahead of me, and i see the Gold e46 pulling up next to me. The guy rolls his windows, shows me tumbs up and busts out laughing at the outcome as we were laughing our selfs.
So before anybody starts saying im lying, im not. I was quite suprised at the outcome. and no i dont think it was any other bimmer like 328, 325,323..etc. Because i have raced a 328, and i left quite a gap between the cars.
The only thing that can come to my mind is that the guy ended up in 5th gear and did not down shift which caused him to loose some power, but then again, mabye he did not since he was downshifting earlier as he wanted to race.
so that is my interesting story of the night! Good bye, gotta sleep, going to track tomrow early
