locked eclipse head unit!

I hope that someone will be able to help me, My brother bought an Eclipse CD8051 brand new off of e-bay and it's worked great until the key cd was stolen and now we can not get the head unit to unlock. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have been trying to contact Eclipse, but I am afraid that they will feel as though I stole the head unit with no real proof of purchase. Go figure there's no Eclipse dealer around to go talk to either! Thanks

is the key cd a little card u put into the deck to allow it to function?...if it is....i belive u will need to contact eclipse to accquire a new one....however, the seller of the deck should have provided u with a receipt along with the deck when ur bro bought it....if not...try to contact him so u can get it......

This will be difficult since the key CD is noted to be the first CD that you put in the unit. I am an authorized Eclipse dealer and you are right, Eclipse will look funny apon this, since you bought it on Ebay and not from an authorized retailer that has a store front. Eclipse does not tollerate internet sales... and with the above said, they may ignore your request since you purchased it on ebay.

You know what, I just had a thought that may help you. Since I am an authorized Eclipse dealer... mmmm.. email me and I will fill you in on my idea ;) BTW, how much did you purchase this unit for?
