Hey man i dont know if you read the past thread i made, but post some pictures of both ur and ur sis car....i wonna see how the CF came out

does anybody have any instructions/tips on how to take off the center counsil off, i think i know how to take the top wood dash with the coimate, and the sound unit...(there are two scews below it, above the ashtray....

How do you remove the wood around the shifter...

I think the W202 sport package has fake Carbon Fiber trim...

yup..just like mercedes wood trip, fake too.

That is why im not worried wheter this CF vinyl is fake or not, cause the real sport package is fake too

from the feel of it..my wood is plasticky...unless it has some clear coat on it...

the "fake wood saga" was with the SLK, and that was just a rumor. All other wood is real, take it off and you'll see. The clear coat ontop is a varnish that keeps it shiny, protected from the sun, and looking good for 10 plus years. If you take a look at a older mercedes (ie 123 diesel) that has been left in the sun, you can see the mising varnish in some places and the real wood comming through

Mercedes wood trim isnt fake as far as I know. And no, You dont have to be worried anymore.. CF 'Vinyl' <==(BIG HINT HERE) is FAKE. :D :D

Here is a lil ghetto way... vinyl it..and spray it with clear coat (at least twice). It'll come out better than stock 'CF' trim on benz. :)

It stays shiny for 10 years.. yet cracked on the fifth year lol

wood trim for ur C280 is 1000+ for the whole trim. or u can get the fake CF trim for like 200 bux

i got it yesterday...i only put it on the outside of the doors like the sport mercedes..i am debating whther i want to put it inside the car...cause its so obciously fake taht im really not sure if ill go through it
