///AMG SLK32 brakes on a SLK230?

There's been a lot of talk(good and bad) about fitting the brakes from a C32 onto the SLK, well today I was check out a SLK32 parked next to my SLK230 and wonder'ed if it's brakes and rotors would be a direct swap into my car?

as far as a switch over to the C 36 is was a bolt on.. my guess would be the same for you.. clearance from wheel rim and the back bolt pattern would be the key things. Also make sure the locking hex nut is in the right place or you can use the wheel to hold the rotor on.. I had to redrill mine to make it match up.. see old post for photos.

SLK32 brakes are a direct swap on a SLk230/320, however there are 2 draw backs:

1. No amg lettering on the calipers (like the C32)

2. A lot more expensive (3 times more) than the C32 brakes.

Don't care about the lettering, buy why so much more than the C32 brakes?

if you can get the C32 brakes to fit with your current wheel setup then i would suggest doing that. especially if they're cheaper than the SLK32 brakes. seems silly to me that they're more expensive. but maybe there really is a difference.

True but some people have a problem with swaping trailing calipers(C32) into the SLK which has a leading caliper setup(Front).

I did the conversion on my 208 CLK (also a leading caliper) with no problems. Bolts right up, greatly improves performance, and looks great. :0)

Which the C32's to your CLK or the SLK32's to you CLK?
