Killing an E55

I was on my way back from my Tutors house and my friend was in the car with me when we come see a beautiful silver E55 (w210) cruising, I stop next to him on the red light and since both our windows were open I tell him what a great car he had, the normal response at this case would be thanks and a smile to go along…his response was I know…and starts revving the engine up…this is the point were I get a lil pissed but decided to let him go since no way will a c230 beat a 55…light turns green and I slowly pull of…he stays there…. then I hear an incredible loud exhaust and I see the silver 55 slowly passing me....I floor my car and I catch up very fast and pass him …this is when I realized something was very fishy :o :blink: …the next red light we stopped right next to each other, and this time I just look at him and laugh…revving the engine signaling a race he revs right back…light turns green and I completely floor it, we had a good 200 meter stretch before another red light… I slow down ..Change the song and he still did not reach, but I can hear his loud ass exhaust loud and clear he finally reaches the red light, I tell him if his car was a 55 or was it just a body kit…he gets worked up and says of course it’s a 55…and just drives of passing a red light…Lebanon is a very small country…E55 are very rare since the taxes are pretty high…I call my friend (who is a car freak…and memorizes cars for a hobby) asking him about a silver E55 with dark tints and a 3 digit number…he tells me it belongs to a person in the same university as ours, and that it is a 96 E200 with a fake AMG body kit and fake AMG rims, and a very cheap exhaust…
My smile quickly faded but deep In my heart I knew there is no way in hell I could have beat a 55…but sometimes miracles do happen..Elvir became a mod and I am on a TV show…maybe it was my cars day to shine…guess not

reminds me if when Mike (doc) had his 1999 E320 with the Frabus gear. One time we had a car meet at Crystal Cove and some old guy asked him if his car was a Brabus. And Mike's response? ....lol...
