Question about the movie "The Professional"

I know the movie is a few years old, but does/did anybody find the relationship between the hit-man and the girl to be, I don't know, a little weird???

i saw it waay back when, but i thought it was a lot of father daughter stuff, not anything "weird" other than him trying to teach her how to off people. She's grown up to be a hottie tho.

when I saw the movie back in the days, I had the hot for Natalie in that movie :P I was the same age as she was then. lol

You are quite correct, Luis Llosa (The Specialist, I think I got the correct director, maybe not) was criticized for showing/hinting-at inappropriate situations. I liked the movie a lot, and thought it was planned very well. But it did make me uncomfortable in a few scenes (can't remember much, it's been 3/4 years since I saw it).

Luc Besson directed Léon (aka "The Professional" in USA). It's an excellent film, if anyone gets chance please watch the DVD with additional footage, the added scenes (in a 15 minute block) are amazing to watch.

Great movie, it was actually on today on TV, but I agree, at times the relationship seem to be a little weird...

I agree...there were definitely awkward moments in that film. But for some reason Natalie Portman picks roles where she is always in a bizarre situation. I just saw this one movie with her (late night TV) where she was a 15 year old who had the hots for this really old guy. She wanted to marry him and stuff...but the guy (maybe 30's) was trying his best to turn her away without hurting her feelings. After a while of that enuendo, I had to turn off the TV....wierd.

But I also agree...she is quite a hotty :)
