i'm trying to remove the storage unit above the ashtray, below the stereo on a w210. i got the ashtray out, but after that i'm stuck. it seems as thought there should be a couple screws somewhere, but where? thanks

Hi !

You should have 2 screws on top of this box, just under the hole for the HeadUnit.

Unscrew them, and then put your hand into the box, and pull down the box...;)

Nope, no need to remove your Head Unit, just put your hand into the box, and touch the top of it, you'll feel the 2 screws into the "lip" of the box...;)

In the W210 that box is just clipped in...no screws at all...

Reach with your hand to the back side of that pocket (since the ashtray is out) and feel for the clip in the middle at the back of that box...push it out from there.
