messed up order

Ok here is the story and its not good. I ordered my SLK 32 in March in good faith that I would be delivered the car I ordered. However this was not the case. I ordered a unique Sapphire Blue/ Charcoal Alpaca color combo. Now the dealer says that Mercedes GmBH no longer produces this color in the SLK and it was produced as a second choice Pewter/ Charcoal Alpaca. However this is not even the second choice that was listed on the order. HELP ME PLEASE. I NEED this BEAUTIFUL MACHINE.

Nothing anyone can do. You dont get what you want, you ask for your money back, or for a re-order CORRECTLY this time, and a discount for all the BS they put you through.

What?!?! The car has only been in production for a year and they discontinued a color already?

It is your right to refuse the car and make them get you your second choice color combo. The downside is that you have to wait longer to get your car. :( Hopefully they don't discontinue your second choice by the time they make the car.

Alternatively, have a look at the Pewter/Charcoal Alpaca and see it you may like it. You can probablly negotiate the price down because it's not the color that you want. Dealer may go for it because it saves them the headache of looking for another buyer for this color combo.

Thanks for all your support guys. I think that we are gonna take delivery of the Pewter. I saw one today and it looks all business. It looks better than the 996 seal Grey because there are little flakes of bronze. on a bright day it looks great and screams class. But then again, what benz doesn't! I can't wait, Ill post pics. I envy all guys with your sexy benzs. Forget the TT in the Gugenheim, AMG linup in the front window.:D :zucchini:

It says that they still make saphire blue on the website... I think the stealership just fed up your order and don't have the balls to keep a SLK32 AMG sitting on the lot and ask for another:beard:

If you do take delivery of the Pewter SLK, ask for discounts or ask them to throw in some free stuff (any options available from the dealership or merchandise). They breeched the contract, and you deserve better.

Congrats on the purchase though :)

sleepin in it with a towel in my mouth to keep from drooling, thanks to all of you! for your support ill keep you informed, it turned out to be brlnt silver and charcoal alpaca grey. ill post pics!

BTW, I don't think there's such thing as a discontinued color from MB. All they have to do is order a designo? Correct me if i'm wrong.
