Great stuff! Glad to see one actually driving... I always just see them on display. You nailed #3 and #4, perfect job on the chrome, and management of reflections! I think the last one could use a little bit of light on the VIN plate!

Thanks guys! As these are all straight from the camera, I need to figure out how photoshop can help selectively mask areas so i can work on specific areas of exposure. I think this is an area I need to learn more about!

The concours and historic racing folks are another breed of automotive enthusiast alltogether....the care and knowledge that most of these folks display to their cars is something that's almost impossible to describe without actually talking to them. It's really difficult to even talk about the almost crazy effort some of the folks go to to be able to run some of these cars at the track. Sure, it's easy to think about it in terms of the hundreds of thousands of dollars that they spend on a regular basis just to keep the cars "alive" and in prime condition, but really that's just a small fraction of the full passion that they have for their cars.

I once asked what drove a particular owner to spend rediculous amounts of time, effort, and of course money, to maintain and race his cars. His response was,

'well really, I think it's an extreme privilege to be able to care for the cars. I don't think of my self as an "owner," but more of a temporary care taker. I'm sure that the car will live on long after I'm gone. Often, I feel responsible for keeping the legacy and history of the cars alive for future generations to enjoy'

I saw alot of that sentiment talking to folks over the years at the historics....they tend to be firey folks who love nothing more than to share their car's history with anyone willing to listen, and there's nothing like seeing these museum pieces being driven around in anger on a track.
