Great site, but I think it could be livened up a bit. Perhaps you should hire professional photographers to take more exciting pictures of cars. I think pictures really sell more than a product, they also sell an image. Who knows, perhaps kameraguy will do it for a free s/c. :D

But other than lacking some flash, an otherwise very informative website. I really like the Q&A part, as well as showing the various publications you have been featured in.

I can't wait to see the updates.

Also, thank you for offering very reasonable prices on kompressors. I have been known to add forced induction on Benzes (after messing around with idea of N2O, I finally decided on a Mosselman turbo kit for my W202), and I look forward to getting my CLK when I graduate, and talking more with you. Only problem is that its a CLK320, and I dont think you have apps for it :(

Also, I think you should start selling exhaust systems. Thay are relatively easy to make. This will be a good start for getting HPS to be known more as an all around tuner and not just a S/C company. Later get H&R or some company to make springs for you, and sell them under HPS name. This is what everyone from RENNtech to Carlsson does. Finally, maybe some wheels and exterior as well as interior "look-good" items (ie. body kits, custom upholstery, etc.). YOu know, make it so you can have a fully customed HPS car.

Maybe this stuff can come later though ;)

Thanks!

I just put an order in for H&R springs and a Remus exhaust. I'm debating if I should buy 18' or 19' chrome OZ wheels.

Any thought?

As some know, I am very biased to OZ Racing wheels. In fact, I am on my third set now! Since you need to use your car for promotions, I would get the top of the line OZ wheels, the Modular Leggera. Its a 3-piece forged aluminum wheel, and has an anthracite finished mid piece. Also, you can go as wide as 10" in rear! Here is pic...

As for the H&R's, I had them and loved them.

Hello Under Pressure,

Good minds think alike! I picked this style in chrome!

After the wheels, I'm looking at an Opera Design spoiler.

I'll create a page in the members’ gallery posting all the updates!

what about supercharger for older model like my 300E. I know a guy who put up a turbo system on a non turbo 1991 300E, ran fine for a week then engine blew, i guess too much compression or else, at least he tried. may you guys up there are not up for that challenge . I wouldn't mind paying $6000 for a nice supercharger for my 300E

300E,

Cost to develop an efficient running model for the Mercedes-Benz 300E is around $75,000 US dollars. Included will be hardware, tooling, engineering time or R&D, employee’s wages, insurance, and much more. If you can get 10 customers to pay $2,500 deposit, non-refundable. I'll make you what ever you want! Final cost will be $9,995 dollars. (No discount.)

What if I got 10 people with (92-94) 500E/E500's. Would you make something for us? I am sure there are at least 10 500E/E500 owners that would have serious interest.

If Kleemann and Brabus both said no to this very request, I am skeptical anyone else will take on *ANY* W124 project
(as much as that BLOWS and completely IGNORES an affluent, superlatively enthusiastic demographic).

I think our only chance is if Carl Genberg gets his ducks in a row.

My two-hundredths of a(n ever-weakening) $...

Give me a price (with installation) and I will get on the horn right now. I will even give you my car to work on for as long as you need to develop a unit. :D

I highly doubt this; besides the stagnant economy, why the sudden interest in the W124 crowd... especially when all
major, European, Mercedes-Benz tuners have turned their backs?

I, for one, am NOT willing to sacrifice my car for any "experiment(s)."

I need MUCH more data, for starters...

- compressor type?
- compressor location?
- plumbing re-routing?
- intercooler?
- PSI?
- warranty?
- life-span?
- engine wear?
- et cetera...

I would need the same thing before I gave up my E500. :D
I think I will call HPS on Monday morning and have a serious chat with some folks.

I talked to Adam about an M104 S/C...was told that they need to focus on the new stuff, like W211 E500 for example, and that spending $30/35k on R&D for an old M104 engine, wasn't something they were looking to do.

I would have guessed that the same applied to the W124 500's.

Then again, it would be nice to have the S/C system available w/o having people commit to it. You know what they say "build it, and they will come."

I'll come alright.

I think shanta has one of, if not the most sexiest Benzos in America, but if she gets an HPS supercharger, that will put it over the top! E500 with iForged wheels, C/F interior, custom exhaust, and a supercharger?!!

No C/F interior over here that would be Scott. I am changing my wood to a black wood. Oh so sexy :D

Shanta and Scott, about the homie that does the blackwood or whatever laminating (ie. way cheaper and you-get-it-faster-than-thomas-can-say-cf), let me know how much it is for a whole kit, b/c I'd love to get something done, and done right, to get ride of the ghetto vinyl cf laminate.

It will cost approx $1300 for a full wood interior, per Madera Concepts.

Do you W124 peeps know about www.fk-automotive.de (http://www.fk-automotive.de)?

I think they have some good stuff for your cars. More stuff for the 190E 2.3 and 2.6 (?) but I did see the 500 listed too.

(I hope I have the right model designation, sorry in advance if I don't)
