Yeah I saw that.... freken CRAZY! Somebody on another forum did the math and figured out that the front element must be around 7.5" wide!

No 1D MKIII here....even if i could afford it (or need it), it's crazy money right now and will be almost impossible to find unless you are on pre-order for a mag/newspaper. Would be nice to wait and let the pro's sort out the bugs first too :)

I think realistically i'll try and take advantage of 1Ds' (mk I) and 1DmkIIn's dropping in price due to these latest products.
