hey guys i was just wondering if i put a set of 18x7.5's on my W124 if that would compromise the ride quality as well as handling...also I heard that its not the best choice to put 7.5's on a heavy european car. Also if I did end up getting wheels that are 18x7.5 ins would i still have to roll my fenders? thanks in advance guys.:P

What's your offset? 7.5 is ideal, but offset could throw everything "off". I have ran in the past 18x8 ET31, 18x8.5 ET35 and now 18x8.5 ET32. All of the above sizes did/do rub the fender(s), even after rolling. Rubbing only occurs on harsh "dips" and when cornering very fast.

my offset is a 35mm same as yours...i just want to know if there was any valid reason my friends told me not to run a 7.5 on my benz.

Shouldnt be a problem. I had 17x7.5 ET35 and no problem. Then I went w/ 18x8 ET34 and holy cow the rub, but it's all fixed now :)

i was told that 18 x 8.5 wouldnt rub on my 124!!! Is this a lie? What has to be done to make them not rub? I just laid down 2,000 for these and am not going to be a happy camper if they dont fit.

It all depends on the offset. What is your offset "Happy Camper"? :)
