im just wondering.....what is the fastest production car available right now or in the near future?

is it the enzo?

You have to define "fastest" and "production"

Some cars do 0-60 faster than some with top speeds in the 240 mph range.

whenever i hear the word Production i think of cars that you can walk into a dealership and buy.. not really special order cars. because if you include them then the McLaren can be thrown in too.

McLaren LM that only came in orange...the 0-100-0 time on it was astounding..cannot remember the times but it is supposed to still be the fastest

actually i think ferarri said it wasnt gonna make the enzo the topspeed fastest because its owners care a lot more about handling and acceleration at speeds lower than 200mph. I think the veyron is going to be the fastest tho.

F1 LM: 6064cc Aluminium V12, 668 bhp, top speed 220mph (geared to limit the top speed), 0-60 in 3 seconds, 0-100 in 5.9

they only made five of them, so it's not a "production" car, does not qualify!

As for the Vector, it has been claimed that that claimed top speed was not true, and was just created by Vector. It has never been proven, and some say it is impossible with the dynamics of the car.

Fastest - the highest speed a car can practically achieve, over a reasonable length of time (non-standard).
Quickest - the earliest a car can get to a standard speed (0-60 being the standard).
