Grill Insert

Anyone want to post a quick overview on how to replace the grill insert on a W124 (300CE)?

Lift hood.
Use 10mm socket to undo the bolts that fasten chrome grill surround to hood. Some bolts are only accessable through holes that are provide in the hood.
Carefully remove chrome surround.
Unbolt the MB badge
Plastic grill is held in place by metal pressure clips.
Metal grill trim slides off.
Installation is reverse.

How many bolts should I be looking for? I only see three...one on the badge, and one each at the left and right upper corners..

Also - after eyeballing it, it looks like the star hood ornament will have to be removed...?

The star will not have to be removed. The other three bolts are hidden in the front hood lip. If you have a hood pad under your hood just follow it to the front of the hood where it gets tucked in at the front. The bolts are hidden there. You need a long socket to reach them.
