Yep. I'm buying one tomorrow. :)

I already have a mint, early 1970s SX-70, but 600 film is a bit pricey compared to the Spectra film (~$35 vs. ~$20 for one pack which has 10 exposures). Can't wait. :bunny:

^ holy crap, as in cheap, right?

i picked up a spectra for like $10 bucks lol

btw...have you shot with fuji velvia color transparency film? holy moly, dude...it is VIVID...so nice...i shot velvia 100 on a 4x5 camera and the colors are amazing...no need for photoshop lol...i just picked up a roll for my 35mm and a roll of kodak portra 160vc, as well.

Velvia is really nice stuff. But its also not economical to shoot with. I shot with film a little bit, and enjoyed the process. I think shooting with film is a good exercise, but at the end of the day, you can mimic almost anything in photoshop :)

Oh and its only worth it if you shoot 4x5 and then drum scan :)

I've never shot with Velvia, I've seen some of Kameraguy's shots that was shot on it and they looked super saturated, but not as good for people in my opinion.

My fav is still Kodak Portra NC which is best for skin tones and for black and white, it's Tri-X =)

Portra NC is amazing too. I like that a lot. I've used it on my 35mm and a Hasselblad 503cm...fantastic results.

Velvia is not good for people... but for landscapes, especially SW landscapes and those with lots of oranges and purples! Portra is nice too, not a fan of Tri-X!!!
