so the only diff is with the placement of the CLK... and yet you still forgot the A .. tsk tsk tsk :P

..I thoguht it was a question of top speed... that's why..

If it was about the QUICKEST.. sure..

AFAIK there is no production AMG A-class, only an "evolution".

I've seen an A with the 3.2L kompressor V6.. but that may not have been OEM..

does the twin-engine A class count?

LOL, that was the one built by HWA (A subgroup of AMG, which only produces very special cars, such as the A32 K..).

Add the C 30 CDI AMG Coupe between ML and the G-Class
0-60 mph in 6.7 seconds :D

So your telling me that the CL can beat the Porsche Turbo to 60 (PT=0-60 in 2.3) and the E can equal it??

I got my times from MBUSA.com so I don't know how much more accurate you can get.

lemme help you:

go to www.mbusa.com (http://www.mbusa.com)

Click on the model. then go to "features" and then "specs" and all the info will be there. to find out the performance numbers, look to the left at the side bar.

To find out the times of past models, click on any current model. then click on "features" then "15 year model overview"

nope, cause the 65 AMG is built by AMG. HWA, just about 300 meters from the production plant in Affalterbach, try to build rich mans dreams. You can ask i.e. I would want a CL65 AMG 4Matic.. Just letting HWA check if its possible to build such a thing cost quite a bit of money (even if the answer is no..!) .. then building the whole thing will cost you another fortune.. But there a quite a few people who don't know what to do with their money :D

hrmm.. so, what's keeping AMG from REALLY building a CL65 AMG 4Matic??
4matic system cannot handle that much torque??

exactly. The current 4matic system could only handle around 390-400 hp. It also adds weight and there would be a problem with the sport suspension cuz the car can hardly be lowered enough.. mercedes aint mitsu or subaru when it comes to 4wd..at least not yet :)

I think Brabus shoehorned a V12 into the M-class before  Wonder what upgrades they did to the 4ETS (which more or less should be similar to 4matic?)

True. Their M-Class had 582 hp. I don't know how they did that though. The car did cost 496'480 German Marks (good old times before the Euro).. thats probably around 600'000 Dollars.. Im sure HWA could build you such a thing as well, if you spent that much Money..

btw: that car had 5.4 sec from 0 to 60

0-60 times are sometimes weak, you gotta go with 1/4 mile times!!!
