How do I remove this wood piece?

I'm installing my two new wood pieces and new temp wheel. I figured out how to install the bottom piece in the pic, but how do I install the top piece? It has an aluminum backing with four pegs that make it really hard to get out. Also, how do I remove the temp wheel? Thanks guys, Scott

Did u try removing the ashtray first? then see if u can reach the back part of the wood trim and push it out. I think there's some clips holding it.

Are you talking about the bottom piece or the top piece in the picture? It's really hard to get the top piece out. Someone told me I have to remove the whole frickin dash to pull the part out to change the temp wheel and wood piece. What a pain in the A$$ to replace a temp wheel and wood piece. :(
