I took off my driver side (broken) mirror to check and see how difficult the Blinking mirror install was going to be. The directions steve sent, was to use pin 5 and 6 for the blinkers. Well, when I took my old mirror off, it already had pins in 4,5,6,7. Is there any chance that the 1999 came wired for blinkers, or am I gonna have to tap spme blinker wires somewhere?

Please give me your thoughts.

No wires to be possibly find in pos 4 and 5...you were looking at the dimming wires in the colors pink/red and pink/black in pos 7 and pos 8.

The reason why I connect the blinking wires to pos 5 and pos 6 in that OEM MB mirror connector is that some US benzes come with the indoor wiring for folding mirrors...these wires are green and yellow. If you car has these wires, you can use those for the blinkers. Simply connect the mirror you had from me and remember that pin 5 is ground (brown in the mirror) and pin 6 is power (black/white in mirror)...no need to take off the doorpanels when you have the green and yellow wire in your doors.

Simply look for these wires in the car at the bottom of the A-pillar where all doorrelated wires come into the car and connect that green and yellow wire (that are not connected to anything on that side) to ground and the blinking wire.

That is how easy installing blinking mirrors can be.
