hey guys, how much do you think this will cost to fix? the bumper needs to be replaced and that dent needs to be fixed.

Oh yeah, anyone have an extra C-class W202 sport rim/wheel they can sell me for very very very cheap? like 80 bucks? One of my rims cracked. (poor college student)

AAA Rims (http://www.aaarims.com) has them for $200 per, or you can get a full set for $400ish here (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2416128291&category=43956)

that doesn't look bad at all

you can get the bumper cover for around 150 aftermarket (once painted no one will know)

light if it's cracked for cheap

body work
if you know a body shop ask them how much would it cost in their after hours not regular hours (there's lots of good guys that own shops small shops not big companies and give you hella deals for cash ;) if you were here in Seattle you could have that fixed and repainted for less than 1.5k (that's including 1k paint job all your car perfect painter)

if you got insurance
you just worry about deductible then

OMG. 19 yrs old, driving a benz, have license for less than a year...this happens.....

Clownesque!

Now now.... what the hell happened? Did your g/f throw a pie in your face while you were driving, or did a water filled condom hit your windshield while you were making a turn? :D

*Sorry if this is confusing guys, i just wanna tell you folks about what happened, but i don't want to compromise anything.

this is the 'real' story

"What happened was I was attempting to switch lanes from the backed up left lane to the right and while I was about switch, this gray Ford on the right comes a little too fast and too close to me and hits me in the rear and speeds off. 'HIT and RUN' " life is simple, insurance company takes care of it, i was hit from behind.

now ;)

Now I was told some guy got into a near death situation tonight, let's call him person X.

Person X was driving when they switched lanes too abruptly and the car fishtailed and spun 360 degrees THREE times across the right side of the semi-crowded freeway all the way to the left side concrete barrier. The rear hit the barrier, stopped the car from spinning. Person X's life flashed before his eyes, as he saw headlights coming at him and dodging while he was spinning round and round. Car stopped, Person X tries the engine it purrs like new, and drives off, no one was hurt, no other cars were hit. Only thing damaged was the rear, a cracked rim, and a off center steering wheel. Person X is an idiot and doesn't deserve to drive his benz next school year, but then again, he's an extremely blessed and lucky son of a b!tch for not dieing tonight.

if it was a hit and run. i hope you had time to check out his license. i wouldve chase him down and just enough time to memorize it. then just call the cops and report it. insurance should pay it all as long as you have the police report.

really sorry to hear that...but if you have full coverage, then all you will pay is the deductable...but still hope that your chase is not twisted..

There is a guy who's been trying to sell rear quater panel on Ebay for extremely lost price.. along with rear bumper etc. The paint gonna cost you plenty.. looks like its going to be 3 if not 4 sections work in order to blend it in.

How did it happen? I hope its another car who hits you from rear -- hence the other party's insurance would have to take care of it.

At least you are ok :)

EDIT.. nevermind..just read how it did happened

Poor Person X ;) .

Don't lose sight of the last few lines you wrote about poor Person X ... tell him to take it easy, an accident like that shakes a person (X :P) up for a while. Always try to keep in mind that driving is dangerous and a car ... any car is to be treated with respect.

BTW, most experienced insurance auto adjusters know what to look for in a "hit & run" accident. Also, in CA, as well as several other states, there is a crackdown on claims fraud. Most companies have some connection to the NICB database, just in case Driver X wanted to know.

Golden1245

what's the NICB?

aintME

yikes! did person X pee his pants? at least no one was injured.

National Insurance Crime Bureau. www.nicb.org (http://www.nicb.org)

They are a non-profit org, sponsored by insurance companies that provide a single point of information from carriers to law enforcement. Participating carriers can access the joint database of the NICB to check on patterns of insurance fraud. There's also a subscription database that adjusters use to look at the claims history (auto, work comp, and homeowners) of insureds.
