I too am confused, there had to be a good 15 or so replies on this tread and they now all seem to be gone. I guess the site must have crashed or something?? :(

Too bad, as there was quite a bit of good info being posted and discussed.

Brabus, call either Tim, Clint, or Niko, at Schnell Automotive (503) 285-2951. They will have the number for Virgil Hobbs (the polising guy). I still can’t find his number anywhere.

Anyway, here's the links again:

It sucks this thread got muffed.

Hey Jason, and everyone else. Thanks for the inspiration. I've started research on working my motor in part thanks to your mods and input as well as an interestingly timed M111 engine mods thread at mbworld.

So far Manley has said they can't make their platinum series pistons or titanium i-beam connecting rods :( for my car. But They should be able to make the vavle train compnents. Crower and JE are next on the list to contact.

I still don't want to go turbo because of the low redline, but if no one releases a real sc upgrade, I'll likely go to a hybrid T3/T4.

Jason, what motor is in you car?

Does anyone know if the Cosworth developed 16v head from the 2.3, 2.5 15v 190E would fit the M111? Does anyone know or can speculate to potential gains?

It sucks this thread got muffed.

Yep, it sure does :(

Jason, what motor is in you car?

None... at the moment. :P

Originally I was running all the mods on the 2.2L long-block. It was stock with 107000mi on it. So no huge surprise when it finally gave out. When it goes back in it will still be a 2.2 but with a slight bore, and of course sweet new high-performance internals.

I'm still waiting for Crower to send us the valve springs. However, we were told they finally done... so hopefully within a couple of days.

I really can't wait to get this baby back together, broken in and tuned properly... and then to the strip!

Can you say 13's? :D
