ny insurance

anyone know of any cheap companies to get insurance from in the nyc/long island area. the big name companies are pretty expensive, so hopefully there are other alternatives.

If you are under 23, I believe you are still under assigned risk which blows. Insurance is so expensive in NY. It makes me sick to my stomach. I own my 98 C230 in full and what kills me is I have to pay $6,300 to insure it (full coverage ofcourse)
I have one accident which they surcharged me 15%. No tickets.
In 3 years thats over 15 Grand. That hurts considering I could take that money,(sell my car) and have a brand new C32 ///AMG.
My friend has a 2000 CLK430 and he insures it upstate for half what I pay.
Try State Farm, but to be honest with you if you live on the island or near the city. They rape you.

i have state farm and they are raping new records! i pay 7000 a year and im 24 with a few speeders. i stayed with them even after the tickets and when my rates went up cause no one else would give me insurance. cant wait till i turn 25!

Insurance is a killer here! Sorry no good news:( And any little blemish on your record is just an excuse for them to ram it in you harder.
Between the mass transit fares going up, sales tax going up, car insurance going up, property tax and/or rent going up and one of the countries highest gas prices its a wonder so many people are still sticking around.

There's also Aladdin Bail Bonds... which of course has a few questions for me too like, "How do I take my coffee" and "Is there anything else they can help me with??"
