good lord man. that is ONE SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET RIDE. Better buddy up with a traffic lawyer soon because after that SC, you're going to start running into a lot of cops.

btw, how big are those rims? It looks a TAD bit high, maybe you could lower it a bit.

Thanks for the cool comments, but there's no way I'm messing with the suspension on this beast!:square:

The wheels are 19in.

So.Cal_Benzo,

it's either the mudflaps, or Big rock nicks on the side from the 275 rear rubber:devious: :devious: :devious:

AND WHY DOES EVERYONE LOWER THEIR RIDES?????

The 55 has an awesome suspension:confused:

unlike US, you got a real AMG, so i prefer you not to drop your car...With AMG suspention and 275mm tires...that car is not going anywere off road..so dont drop it, unless you want to have just better looks, so you might as well just get some pads...cause no spings or shocks that you buy are better than what you have right now....SWEET RIDE...LOVE IT

if youre an all performance kind of guy (which you probably are) then yea, leave the suspension up to AMG, but it still looks too high... maybe you should change pads like someonementioned.

hmmm maybe you should paint the mudflaps to match the body? that way it wouldnt look weird.:)

I'm waiting to see how she behaves after the SC:devious: , then I'll make my final decision, but still am leaning towards stock. The handling and ride in this car is awesome:D

and the mudflaps don't look wierd

The S/C is going to throw off the balance of your car totally... but nothing some finely tuned suspension couldn't fix :)

That's simple; I was more impressed by the Kleemann System. My final decision was made a short time after the New York Auto Show. My wife and me were expecting to meet all the brass, but the HPS side fell short. John who was there, and is a great guy and all, but had no real info as to the technical..... "nuts and bolts?. However, Brandon, who owns Kleemann USA, was standing out in the pouring rain and able to represent his product in depth. He answered every question I had and didn?t have to ?look into it for me?. I just really got the sense that this was the ideal system for my pride and joy. In addition to the greater HP benefit, the Kleemann also was more aesthetically pleasing to me.

And PLEASE DON?T take this as a slam against HPS. I spent for many months on the phone back and forth with Adam and Bill; they always tried their best to answer all my questions. I have nothing but respect for them. I simply felt more comfortable with Kleemann and was willing to pay the extra premium for a little piece of mind in return.

I will certainly keep everyone updated as time permits. I?m scheduled for install June 2nd.

You should seriously look at upgrading the suspension system.
The car will be noticeably unbalanced with out a suspension modification.
I had the Kleemann Speed Sensitive Suspension added when I had the Kleemann Super Charger installed. It is a necessary upgrade that should be done with the S/C install IMO.
Best of luck to ya,
Tim

I don't understand, how do you mean? As it stands today, I have big money wrapped up in this ride...not that I'm complaining.

See, for every big upgrade I do to my car, the wife automatically has to be bribed (diamonds:eek: ), so it's definately getting crazy:cry: :dead: .

Soon, I'll be able to open my own Tiffany Dept. Store, especially if I keep on my current track.:P :P :P

Well Joe brought his CLK 55 to us this past week- dropped it off on Tuesday AM (after a pre-dyno) and we got the SC installed by Wednesday. We post dyno tested- and then went back and did some ECU modifications- and tested again. Tried to get some 1/4 mile runs in at Bandimere but were rained out after only two runs.

I wont spoil Joes fun and I'll let him post his numbers- but lets just say this one put down some incredible numbers.

Joe was in and around the shop for the whole installation and came and endured hours and hours at the dyno- hes a trooper. ;)

Stay tuned-

Thanks Brandon, you guys (Corey and yourself) aren't too shabby either. I have NEVER met anyone that knew so much about a Mercedes or tuning one until now, my hat's off to you. I had a great time, as did my wife.

You guys deserve a lot of credit, you really did an awesome job on my car......."fast as hell" is an understatement!

So Joe, how about some Dyno & 1/4 mile numbers for us unworthy ones to drool over them? :) (Might want to start a new thread under Engine Tuning forum about this)

Well, I was trying to hold off giving out detail until I had the chance to sit down and jot down an appropriate write up about my experience with Kleemann. They really deserve the recognition, no one can touch these guys when it comes to tuning Mercedes IMO.

The latest Dyno numbers show ~ 438 RWHP and ~455 ft/lbs of torque....AT THE WHEELS, not the crank :D :D :D
Keep in mind, I also had Brandon and Corey do some chip work too.

I don't have any significant 1/4 mile times yet, but I'm working on it. I ran it a couple times, but I couldn't hook up right. The ECU also was not programmed for the supercharger at the time, so I'm planning on taking it to Englishtown for some runs next week. I'm expecting low to mid twelves using street tires. If my friend comes through, I'll throw some slicks on and get those time out also.

I'll scan the Dyno sheets and get some pics up when I get a chance, along with a write up of my little journey through Colorado.

Probably, the most satisfying experience with Mercedes tuning I ever had. Stay tuned, way more to come.

Hey Tim,

Sorry I didn't get the chance to call you. Hope the car went to a good home:( IMO, your crazy for selling it.......that was the perfect sleeper car.:devious: :devious: :devious:

As far as my stock suspension, I don't agree, the car feels totally stable and the supercharger hasn't compromised the ride or handling whatsoever.

Good luck with everything, and let us know how you make out.
