Ok im gonna need all the people who have 18s on their w202, to post picture AND TELL ME WHAT KIND OF PADS THEY ARE RUNNING...
Since im gonna do the whole thing at once...i might as well know what im gonna go with...Please tell me what your ride is like, do you scrape and all that good stuff....thanks

it's not a C Class, but the suspensions are close. here's a not so good picture of my stock setup with it's winter gear on (18in. Lorinser LM1s).

18's with H&R sport springs and Bilstein Sport shocks - springs were cut 1/2 coil sitting on #2 pads front and rear is uncut sitting on #1 pads.

1.5 drop H&R springs with Bilstein sport shocks and #2 pads all around. Loss 75% on comfort but gain more stability.

you car is beutiful, do you have the rubbing problem too with the #2 pads
EDIT: Honestly, I dont fiend mercedes that comfortable, at least not mine. My dads Camry has WAY more comfort than my car....so if i drop it, i cannot even imagine how rough that ride will be!!

Eibach Springs/Bilstein sports here. My drops looks alot like luwins cept I didn't cut anything.Then again I only have 17's.
Things to think about:
1) EVERY car is different. You'll have to play with the pads till you get the height you want.
2) There might be a difference in drop height between just changing springs and changing springs and shocks.
3) Lowering stance will look different between 17, 18, 19, 20 ,21, 22, 23, 24, 25 ,26 etc rims. Also the look of the rim and the size of the tire will make the stance look different.
4) Only AMG's come with semi rolled fenders. Some people might have rolled thiers or live with the rub.
5) Offset plays a role as well
6) You'll almost have to swap out the pads at least 1 or 2 times to get the height you want if you weren't lucky enough with the height you wanted first try.

Thank you. I don't have any rubbing problem coz my tires are not as wide like the others. #1 pad the lowest and #5 highest maybe........

NO! Just the opposite. #5 is the thickest, so it makes your ride height tallest. #1 is the thinnest, and it makes your ride height the lowest. I'm guessing about 5-10mm difference between each pad?

what is the difference between the H&R springs when it comes to ride quality and DROP, and Eibach

You need to consider also the pads that you gonna put in.
Like my car got #2 pads all around and the ride is much stiffer
with H&R springs. If you are planning to use #1&2 pads just think how thin those pads gonna be on top of your springs.
It's all up to you if you like comfort then thicker pads. Stiffer ride
less comfort thinner pads. I'm hoping this tread will not turn into
like 8 to 10 pages again... :rolleyes: :P ;)

well since my car is a tad bit higher in the rear because of the wider tires, im thingking of getting number 2 pads front and #1 rear... to try to balance the car out, so that it sits right and not tilted..not that its even noticable

Here's my suggestion to get the maximum out of your H&R springs. Get the #5 pads and then cut the springs to get the correct ride ht. you want.
That way buy cutting the springs a little more you will increase the spring rate and by using the #5 pads front and rear you take out some of the unwanted noise.
And cutting a straight rate spring only increases the spring rate by the amonut you cut off relative to the length of the spring.
Also by increasing the spring rate a little you will force the shocks to work a little harder to dampen the spring action. So you could end up with a smoother ride, but one that also controls body roll better.
But if you lower the car too far you can end up with the Roll Centers of the front and rear suspension below the ground level which cause the chassis to jack up on one side and will have increased roll on the other. Not too good.

Eibach springs is softer and for some reason they usually tilt the front of your car in regardless of how thin your pads are and you might end up cutting the front springs. I don't know for others coz every single one I've seen that used Eibach ended up cutting it or replaced with H&R... :rolleyes: ;) :)

I use Eibach with Bilstein sport shocks.
#2 fron #3 back.
With the stock 17's, front is almost tucked. Can't fit a finger between the fender and tire.
Back is tucked, forget about even trying to put your finger in there cause I can't.
Next question you should ask is camber hehe...it'll make your head spin.
aren't eibachs progressive in the front and linear in the back? maybe that explains the difference in the height.

Go Eibach and Bilstien. Nothing but good stuff. I am using
the #1 pad all the way around with 19inch AMG Monoblocks.
(I do slightly rub in the front though, so I may switch to 225/35/19's soon instead of 235's)
