Hereis what 17" wheels look like on an CLK that is not lowered. Personally, I think it looks good. Yes, it doesnt tuck or look bling bling, but I think it looks more sporty. Car is low ebough on its own, dont really need to lower more. Less fender gap than a Viper, so its not bad....

You need to drop it like it's hot.

~0.25" spacer in rear coming soon. Lowering springs probably never coming though.

Why don't you get coilovers so that you can adjust the height whenever necessary.

The wheels are a little to 'old skool' for the CLK in my opinion. Not hatin', just statin'
Otherwise, she's alright :)

There is no coilover available for W208CLK, W210 E-Class, or W202 C-Class..
other than SpeedBenz's custome made ones.. ;)

Thanks Bob, dont really remember asking anyone for their opinions but I wouldnt consider these old school. True they are discontinued as of a year ago, but until then the 17" sold for $659 a piece. I got all four and newer tires from a Springfield, IL RENNtech dealer for $745 shipped. Too good a deal to pass up. Here are some other non "old school" cars that sprt them...

Did you think you were going to post pictures and not get at least 1 person offering their .02 of wisdom? ;) That is why I don't post pictures of my car. :D
Good deal(price) on those wheels!;)

When you post a pic of your car to enthusiasts, they can give ideas in order to make your car even more awesome. Ideas are what rock this world.
So now Shanta, please post pics of your car.

It looks alright man, just, well, like I said. Maybe it's the fact that EVERYONE puts Monobloc's on their CLK's down here. Never mind me, I'm just an under-priviledged Ozzie :o

The wheels are Super NICE! I just think 18" or 19" staggered Would have been the icing on the cake. Also I think Springs is a Must!

Ok now I lknow why Ozzie didnt like them much. It's because compared to all the other car's pics you posted, your car isn't lowered, and doesn't have a fat lip. :P
The drop would make such a good difference! But why not do it? Because your dad still drives it primarily or because of the road being caca?

Yea I wish I had it staggered but for what I paid, I am happy. Looks much better in person than in pics, really!
I wont lower for two reasons; 1) its still my father's car (he hasnt given me keys yet), and 2) after having a slammed W202, I got sick of poor alignment that could never be corrected, along with the camber wearing out tires unevenly and rapidly, as well as getting stuck on parking blocks.
Shanta, I want to see your car. The description sounds hot hot hot ;)

No one's saying you have to slam your car. I'm sure that would get really old really fast. With a simple 1-1.5 inch drop, alignment is still very easy to do and the parking block thing is easy - just don't pull in as far or back in. I think the rims look tough and even though staggered is cool, I didn't go staggered on mine cause I drive a lot and wanted to be able to rotate my tires (front to back at least) but with a very subtle drop (not slam) the car would look great.
