seeing as how this post got erased:

its friday morning im in the 16v cuz its my daily driver as most of u know, i go to drop my grandma off at the small shopping center before i go to school to take a final. so far its a good day, im ready to take my final, everything is goin great. i pull up to a stoplight, and im in the middle lane and no one in front. out of no where a car slams in between the car in the left most lane and me in the middle. she ends up takin out my driver side quarter panel and scrapes along the driverside. so by then, i am . i mean really . so i try to pull over and my wheel is jammed into the quarter panel. so im even more . and the car next to me in the left lane jus had a scrape on one of the doors. so my car is not driveable. and to top it all off, the car that hit me was a POS, the driver had a suspended licence, no insurance. she said she had no brakes and coudnt slow the car down. WELL IM GLAD MY CAR WAS THERE TO STOP IT!!!!!!!!.
F%%%%%%%%%@@@@@@@@@@@@@K!!!!!!!!!!!

so how was everyone else's day?

.:UPDATE:.

got a call from the body shop and it looks like the amount of damage is about $6500. which may be more that the car is worth so it may be totalled. if thats the case, im sueing the biatch for a good $20 grand for all the repairs and mods i put into that car including the purchase of the car. so if i have to part ways with my 16v hopefully i can pick up another one.

Not to piss on your day.. but your chances of getting money for mods etc.. on a car are slim to NONE, unless it is a vintage car, apprised at a certain level or has a history that makes it worthy of a huge payoff. If you want to throw some good money at a lawyer, and they will be glad to take it, then go ahead. I think that most people know that mods are for your pleasure and not for others. I would guess that $10,000 worth of mods would equal $3,000 in increased value to someone, maybe. This is the problem with mods. Write it off, buy a better one, take the parts off NOW, etc.. and start over. Sorry for the loss but sometimes we don't think straight when emotions are involved..

:( Man, that's really crappy crappy news. I would be completely devistated if that happened to me. Even if you don't get like $20,000 you surely will get enough to buy a sick 16V. Look forward to picking out another one. Update this post as you find out more info or what you will do. Sorry man, Scott
