Hissing normal?

I went under the hood of my car last night. Turned on the car and gases the car by the throttle.

What I hear each time is a hissing sound when I add gas.

Anyone have a clue? Or is this normal?

What you describe sounds like a vacuum leak. Check all your hoses going to the intake manifold fro cracks and leaks.

Problem is..I have no idea what's a vacuum hose and whats a regular hose :(

I spent all day at work on other sites doing searches.

I don't think now my MAS is suspect because the first time my MAS went the idle surged 2000-3000rpm.

I now suspect the coil ends cause the CEL only comes on when I push the car hard and goes into limp mode. Turn on and off the car, it's fine again until I push the car, it feels like it has no power.

Anyone?
