My buddy from University of North Florida, where I attend, owns a '99 BMW M3 coupe. On the way back from the doll house (Benzo knows this place:D ) We both decide to have a little fun. It goes a little something like this:
CE36:
3.6 I6 cams, port, polish, rods, pistons, exhaust......+/-305HP?
M3:
3.2 I6, throttle body, shark injector, intake, full exhaust, pullies....+/- 270-300 HP? I dunno, but lighter and manual.
First Run: 40MPH roll, he slowly crept on me to 90, maybe 3/4 of a car length in the end.
Second Run: 20 MPH Roll, both in first gear, and stay that way through 3/4 of 2nd gear, then he slowly pulls.
Third Run- Dead Stop, I smoke tire off the line, bad traction...He dumps clutch at like 4K and launches...Suprisingly I actually start to pull on him when maintained traction to about his door, then we even out, and he starts to gradually run away.... Oh well, he said I should be able to take a stock E36 M3, but it would be close, probably like the Z Car. Oh well, I need to put this car away because to me, speed= bad=tickets=breaking car.....
Need to get my 80 MPH road tank so even the dump trucks launch me off the light!!!:D
