I have decided to purchase this speedometer, but what I do not know is what will I need to do next?

How can I recalibrate the tach? Who can do it for me?

Thanks :)

I don't think you can recalibrate without a bunch of messing problems.

you can't recalibrate the speedometer. the gearing is all in the speedo and cannot be serviced by the do-it-yourselfer.

if you need a speedo fixed or changed it has to go to VDO. M-B can set the odometer if you get a new replacement speedo, but your original speedo is a 260km/h one and you want to fit a 280km/h face onto it. getting it to read the correct speed would reuquire you to send it to VDO. IF they'll do it.

OR

you may be lucky and find a speedo repair shop. it's not a hard thing to do - just swap some gears. the hard part is a) knowing which parts you need and B) finding the parts.
