View Full Version : Wiring my new AMG spoiler

At last my W124 AMG spoiler is in after 2 months. I need to know how to wire it, and what my options are.

Can I have the fogs in the bumper light without the other lights on? Someone please help.

3 weeks till Benzsport SB, let the modding begin!

This is what happens when you don't check the forum for a week.......I would have been there all alone.

Bummer, oh well, I still need info on how to wire the fogs.

ohh I was llost for a second, you mean FRONT spoiler/bumper. Ask Alon, he wired his fogs somehow (granted not AMG ones but PepBoys')

Why don't you just tap on the wires to your original fog lights.

I figured it plugs into somewhere. The fogs came with 2 leads out of the light, that snap into an extension about a foot long with a 6 pin female end on 1 side and 6 pin male on the other.

I wanted to try to wire the fogs to work by themselves.

On my friends SL, at night the fogs come on after the engine is turned off and the key is removed. That's something I'd like to figure out.

I think your friend's SL got a timer that goes with the alarm system.

Wire it up to another switch, and wire in relays. Use the diagram form http://lighting.mbz.org for how to wire the relays.

I tapped off the parking light for the trigger wire for the relays, so I can have them on with my city lights and with the seperate switch, mounted on the underside of the dash panel, I can turn them on or off at will.

I just used the wiring that came with the lights to wire up the switch.

my fogs come in like that too... they come on when i unlock at night. .... at least i think it does......:rolleyes: :stupid:
