Was going out to lunch when I see an SL55 and a Z4 first row accross the street opposite to me. Both their tops down. Z4 driver looked like a young yuppie, the SL driver in the mid 30's corporate look :P I was in the left turning lane and they went first.

As luck would have it, the Z4 driver punched it!! I was like...what is he thinking?

I'm not sure if they were previously racing, but the SL55 driver gave him like a car or so jump before he bit. And he bit hard.

As they screamed by me, I checked my mirrors to see the SL55 destroy the Z4....by a lot.


No suprise to us i'm sure. I was just wondering what that Z4 driver was thinking! :P

Maybe he thought it was a 500, which would be a good match for a Z4 3.0 off the line.

If the Z4 was a 2.5 maybe he was just trying to keep up with traffic.:D

From what I've read (also street/drag racing), it seems the local SL55 owners are quite keen to race their cars. :D

Also, a few E55's (some with 100+ octane) are wreaking havoc among the nightime traffic-light-grand-prix brigade. :P

HAHA, i have mad BMW 2.5L pride, but u gotta know how to pick and chose ur opponents.... this guy was WAY out of his league.

maybe he just wanted to see the 55 smoke the sh!t out of him :D

Yeah, that's true. I suppose it was the same when an M5 picked a drag-race with me. I knew I would lose, but wanted to see how bad.

And it was bad...
