Hey Luwin,
Just got a question about the Rieger rear bumper add-on, did u put yours on yourself?? I cant read the instructions (in German) so I'm not sure where the hell the rivets go!! do u even use them?? or do I just use the adhesive??
I'm not 100% sure but I would think the rivets go in the end (where it wraps around the bumper behind the rear tire)

I had my body shop professonally paint and install mine, as custom brackets had to be made to mount it securely, and I would advise you to do the same!! :D

Luwin is wise.... nevertheless to answer your Q.. the rivets goes to each side of the apron, and you glue the rest of the line. Do not use the glue that comes with Rieger.... my front lip is peeling out after few months. I had to re-glue it back on.
... yeah whats up with the small printed german instruction? Not to mention the bright pink paper? :)

But dont forget u had to completely modify ur rear bumper cause it was too wide..right?? I'm gonna install it myself and have the Benz body shop paint it for me.

Glue wise, I bought them from a pro shop who does body kits. I wish I remember what brand it was. And yes, the rivets go on the the 1/2 inch (dont crack the abs plastic!!) wide space right where the bumper wrap around your quater rear.
Good luck!

well thanks for all ur input and help.. but I didnt get very far!! I cut my stock rear bumper a bit to have the Rieger bumper fit nicely.. and my frigin exhaust is in the way.. so I have to get that moved first before I can mount it!!
I'll take my bumper with me so they can positon it exactly.

Which part did you cut? Mine fits perfectly. I had to build two brackets out of aluminum (3/4x1/2) to ensure the sturdiness. That's about it. :)

Which part did you cut?
The very bottom of the rear bumper.. to allow for the Rieger bumper exhaust hole to fit snug against my bumper.

.... and you sure you got the post97/updated version of Rieger Kit? Hmmmmm.. it sucks if you had to cut your OEM bumper. :(
