new car in the fam, audi s8

last night my dad brought home a 2001 audi s8!! ive only driven it a little bit but i love it(maybe 1/2 a mile). its got 13.6" brembos up front stock!! the car has alot of torque, but i dont really feel the 360hp it claims, but more driving might prove otherwise (i was using the tiptronic, and that might be slower then keeping it in auto mode) it revs to 7000rpms which is amazing for a 4.2 liter engine. the interior is sweet, the back seats are better then anything ive ever been in ( more comfortable then an 02 s600 ive been in, very supportive seats in back even) the front seats are recaro with the adj thigh support, best seats ive ever seen stock in any car! the interior is nice wood, but the best part is there is suede all over the place i am really impressed with the quality of this car, i hope he enjoys this car, he really deserves it. it only has 7000miles on it and he picked it up for about 10k under retail!

heres some info on the car http://www.fantasycars.com/sedans/html/news8.html it says they only sell 30 to north america a year, i dont know if thats true, but if it is then its way more rare then my m coupe.

i drove it a few more miles today and im getting used to it, its nice to get into a big car and break all the wheels loose under hard cornering :) not bad for a 4100lb car. the brakes are amazing for a car of that size. the only thing i dont like is now smooth the power is (i know it dosent make sense) but i dont feel the 360hp up top, but i really feel the low end power, but theres kinda a power void between 3k and 5k where you really want the power, but it reves so quick for a big car its not a big deal. also the car has great steering, its nicely weighted. i will try to take some pics today.

he loves cars, hes had a few amazing cars, the best ever was probally his masarati quatro porto i think i was about 5 when he sold it, but he still talks about it, leather, wood or suede was the ONLY thing you ever saw in that car. it was a work of art, when i was about 4 i remember going out to the desert going 90-100 (when i thought 100mph was fast ;)) it was a blast. ne also used to have an xjr jaguar, but i never really liked that car, the sitting position is terrible, and the car dosent handle very well....but i think this is the best car hes ever owned, and he really likes it so far.

e320 wagon bone stock, she may get clear side markers for x-mas :) ive been telling her its time for the kleemann on her car, but she wont budge;) either way its a great car. i drive it almost every day its got good power, handles better then any suv out there, and its very comfortable to drive.
