Hello Board,

After a long battle with my 1987 300E and the search for a nice paint job and rims. Well the rims are 18x8 et38, the tires are Kuhmo Ecsta 225/40/18. I have very minimal rub up front and NO rub in the rear. I am thinking about lowering the car, but the thought of hard rubbing and "cambering" are blocking my path. The front fender gap is not that much, I guess those stock shocks are a little worn out, therefore "lowering" my car a little.
What do you guys think? I am contemplating whether or not to paint the inner part of the rim blue to match my car. What do you all think so far?

nice car, have you taught about rolling your fender in order to make more room..try that on stock set up, and see if you have any difference, and if you do then lower your car,

wow, nice 300E, very clean :)

If I were you, I would lower your car, but not too much. You will be much more pleased with the result... As for camber/rubbing/bushings and all that mess, you can always try it first, and If it doesn't work out, just sell the springs. There are lots of things you can do to fix the rubbing: larger/thicker pads, rolling fenders, etc... and a camber correction kit I think (not too sure) is just shy of $200 USD If I'm correct.

No way man, you can get one for $240. Though it doesn't have teflon bushings, so you gotta drop some oil in there occasionaly.

nicely updated 124, man! Classy. And damn, I love that color. Looks mean witht he rims. If nothing else, change your rotors to some slotted or drilled ones. Open wheels. . . they'd look tight!

Wow! Clean car :) I like the choice of wheels... not that many people know how to put right wheels on a w124. :D
