This is a common practice in japan. That way you can have the AMG look but still maintain truth to your engine size. Mine for example would be E23. Anyway, did you try Meguires Step one remover? This stuff works really well. Also, WD40 will clean the paint really well. Of course, be sure to 3 step wax the area if you use these products. If it still won't come off, try a detail shop that has use of a buffer and several compounds. Later, Scott

Anyother things i should try...ill go do the WD40 now.!!!

the "yellow" stuff won't fall off. Is it just on the surface? Can you feel it when you put your fingers over it? Maybe you can try buffing it out w/ a buffer, or let the pro try it. IF not you may have to respray the trunk lid or just that back area.
On my dad's Lexus, my W124 and my sister's W202 we had to respray the lids b/c there was no way in hell u could get off the marks of the emblems. But then again all cars were black. But on the W210, it was no problem (it's white and fairly new ie 2000 model).

Debadge the whole thing, it looks way better. C28 looks wack. Take everything off, then scrub the area real hard, after a few washes it will be fine.

:werd: man. the yellow stuff is just the residue from the glue. after a few wax jobs over that small surface, it will go away. take the whole thing off.

well its been only bearly one day since i took the "0" from the C280 and i can bearly notice the yellow stuff, its not the way it started out...so i took all the letters off...the "8" shape yellow looks a bit strong but i know its gonna fade out...so im not that worried...
The car looks way better...so clean so fresh......"so fresh and so clean, clean"-Outcast
I like it

Wax will not remove the glue, and teh more wax u do, teh more harder the glue gonna come out since u r just building up teh wax.
step #1 clean the surface
#2 GEt 3M bug/tars Remover (in a blue and white spray can)
#3 follow the direction to remove teh glue
#4 Wax the spot u remove teh glue from, or just wax hole car again
rememebr: Wax do not have any type of cleaning power, only for protaction

gotcha...well i have some minor srcratches on the car that i want to get rid of...so ill buy the 3m stuff, but that crap is expensive its like $7 for a small botle...it could not even be enough if idecided to wax the whole car

you made the right decision by removing the whole emblem :)
