And what a difference it made.

I have never changed the fuel filter and decided to do it thi spast weekend.

Changing is straight forward..remove the cover (3 nuts) you'll need an extension to get at the nuts and a flashlight. Between the Fuel pump and the Fuel filer there's a screw that will lossen the bracket that holds the Pump and filter. cut off the clips and replace by sliding out the filter and sliding the new one back in.

The car feel so much smoother now.

BTW all this cost me $150 cdn. (labour was all me)

swap my winter tires
Mobil 1 5w30
Fuel filter
Oil Filter

I use to work in as hop so I just go after hours and have free rfeign of the lift and equipment.

Hey Rockey

I want to change the filter on my 1997 C280 its located below the rear tire on the passanger side wright?

One question for you though how did you prevent air from getting in the gas line did you just replace the filter let it sit for a while and hope all the air in the filter bleads back to the tank also do you know if they fuel pump is before or after the filter.

thanks in advance

oh if you dont mind me asking what did the filter cost ? and did you buy it from the dealer or someone else
