View Full Version : Amazing.... SRT4 Vs C43

The cars:
Dodge SRT-4 had a stage one something upgrade...for more boost, something with the fuel cut, and some better fuel management. My C43 has K&N filters and my thermal insulation mod on the airbox.

The Race:
This was a 1/4 mile out the hole race. I can safely say that I beat him by 1/2 a car for the 1/4 mile. We took off and both of us had crazy wheel spin...but i pulled one car ahead and kept it there till about 100mph when he pulled up to my door at the 1/4 miles end. So by the end of the 1/4 mile, I still had him by 1/2 a car. After taht he just pulled a car on me and we kept it there....then shut down. Those SRT-4s are faasssstttt. But Im glad that I can still take him in the 1/4. And that is not a stock SRT-4. Also, cold weather tonight gave both of us an advantage but he had more of an advantage with turbo power. Still, I am impressed that my C43 took it to that SRT-4 so well.

WEIRD. I totally destroyed one today. It wasn't stock either.

I've seen a SRT4 run 12's and beat a viper on the 1/4mile. There is a vid somewhere on the internet. There is a local guy around here running around with one that sounds pretty mean but its still ugly if you ask me.

Motor Trend got a 13.9 1/4mi out of one on a test between the SRT-4, Mazdaspeed Protoge(sp?), and Focus SVT. I think a factory SRT-4 is certainly capable of thumping a factory C43. Hey, its a Daimler product!

There was a black one that ran 13.1 but his car got stolen.....hehehe:D

I didnt like the owner too well anyways!!!!! I knew that guy and he was the biggest hater toward all benzs!!! Funny thing is that he couldnt beat my cousins C32 AMG when they raced in Bradenton....no matter how hard that SRT-4 tried!!!! The C32 had a ECU and pulley.....that SRT-4 had a bunch of RAGE upgrades and LSD and junk!!!! Either way.... C32 owned him 4 life!!!!

my friend raced an srt with his 350z, he had 2 people together in car and srt had four, and in the highway race they were dead even

Those SRT with cold air hood deserves some respects! The stage III mopar would put 300hp at the wheels. Nuts!
