Probably isn't the right place but:

Does anyone know if the headlight lens from a 500e euro will fit over standard 300e/400e euro headlamps?

Does anyone know a place to procure said lenses or even 300e/400e euro lenses for cheap?

My driver side euro lens came in contact with something at speed leaving a hole and accompanying shock pattern. Doesn't affect the light beam, but its just bad form...

Looks like it would have gone through my windshield if it had the chance... :dead:

I got my replacement lens from www.capitolwest.com (http://www.capitolwest.com)

I also got a set of 3M protective film from Performanceproducts to stop that kind of thing from happening again.

yal,

Do you have a pic of how this protective film looks like on your MB? I will be buying euro headlights for my W201 in the next 2 weeks, would be kinda nice to protect them (as long as it looks clean)

Thanks,
D

My car was hit while it was parked the other day and my hood was damaged AGAIN! I will be driving the car to the body shop this week so i'll take some pics. You really have to apply the film carefully and the bubbles can be there for weekes before they dissappear. But considering the alternatives they are worth it.

Speedyte the cheapest I have seen is ww.importvision.com at $250 for he pair. The price cut is due to the lenses which are not as heavy as the Bosch or Hella units. Well worth it though:D
