Lately, my car's been making this creaking noise as the suspension travels. I took the car to the dealership and they told me that because I lowered the car I've caused the noise. Then they told me that I need new upper control arms in front, and need more time to diagnose what needs to be done to the rear to cure the noise.
Normally I would believe what they're saying, but this is the same dealership that once blamed a misfire in my engine to my remus exhaust and not the real problem which was a bad seal around the spark plug firing on the 4th cylinder.
Any thoughts on what the real sourse of these creaking noises might be?

It could be alot of things bro.
Did it just start happening or has it been ongoing since you lowered the car?
Maybe the spring is not seated properly?
Maybe it's not actually the suspension and it's something in the interior?
Front or back wheels?

The noise just started happening. I lowered the car about 100,000km ago, so its probably not because the spring might not be seated properly.
I'm sure its suspension related because if you're outside and push the car up and down you can hear the suspension creaking as it travels.
I think its time for new shocks, but Benz says otherwise.

if u kept the stock springs on your car when u lowered then its defenitively time for new shocks

check your bushings visually.

First thing to check is your bushings. Then check for vracks in the actual control arms and such in the rear suspension.
Shocks are tuff. I heard stories where it's hard to tell if your shocks are shot or not for a MB. I thought my shocks where shot cause my car has that cadillac floaty feeling..but when I removed the shocks, they still work. No leaks. I replaced them with bilsteins anyways. Might as well do it all and proper the first time.
