Are there any good hints on this? I got a crack in the old one and bought a new manifold but I would like to paint/coat it so it will last longer. Read: No rust!

Anyone done this? Will heat resistant paint do the job or do I need something else?

IMO i wouldnt paint it, no matter how much i want to make it last...the exhaust manifold gets just too darn hot!....sometimes even red hot.... if it were the intake manifold...then yes....
just my .02 ;)

I would get it jet hot coated. shouldncost a ridiculous amount, and will look great.

if you search google for jet hot coating, you should find their link.

I believe you were suggesting "powder coating" which is different from jet hot coating. B)

I mistakenly typed powercoat. I post so much just slipped up :P.

As long as I can help someone out with accurate info that's all that matters to me ;)

If you don't wanna spend a lot of money, they do make a header spray paint and a do it yourself powdercoat kit for headers. I have seen both at pepboys. I can't vouch for the quality though as I haven't used them.
