The reason why i need to bridge my amp is because i need more power would the amp be running 3 ohms or would it be 1.5

All car amps show rated continuous power at four and at two ohms. The amp's true power is usually available at two ohms with a price:heat. A car with a large engine doesn't have to work very hard to propel the car down the highway. The same is true of most amps, use one that is at ease driving a sub. If the amp is only for driving subs, try a class "D" (digital) amplifier which won't die from extreme heat and can drive 2-6 ohms. P.
