Well since I lost the bidding on a c36 engine for my car I found a c36 diff with 3.06 limited slip but with ASR. Can I install this in my car without any hassel or is the asr going to give me grief?

I bet the ASR will give you problems... you probably will need to do some upgrading in the CPU unless there is a way to disable it.

or you can source out a rear without ASR.

Yes. My C36 has no ASR.

Oh yeah, that was part of the C1 Package.

Packages in the US and Canada are totally different.

Basically only option i have on my car is a glass moonroof.

Interesting... I think my C36 has no ASR as well...

Hehe you don't know? There should be an ASR button where the heated seats and fold down head rest buttons are to turn it off i think.
It's funny cause when I drive in the snow, my car is like sideways but still driving straight hahaha.

You can disable ASR in C36, some people have done this... Moebuisgold has, i think in his C36....

Question- would the LSD from the C36 w/out ASR be compatible with the cl203 sport coupe w/ manual trans?

Hum... that seems even less possible then in a w124, i'd imagine that the yr difference and complete difference in computers would make this NP (just a guess though).

If I remember correctly, there was someone over at mercedesshop or mbworld that had a w124 wagon with a C36 engine in it. I can;t rememmber who or if he use the C36 tranny as well.

The important part of my question should have been phrased, "Does anyone know if the diff's are physically the same in regards to dimensions, mounting, etc.?"

We cl203/ w203 owners with a manual trans can swap gear ratios without impacting the computer... So if the LSD diff from the C36 was physically the same, and did not have ASR, etc., I could bolt it up and have LSD. If not that's cool, but if I could, that be awesome....

If someone could let me know if they are the same or not, I'd appreciate it. Thanks
