View Full Version : I hate my garage

I'm not going to explain much here.
Two loose pieces of shelving decided to slide off their brackets (TWO at once, WTF!?!?!) and made a semi-soft landing on my C280's hood and fender.
I've already emailed a paintless dent-removal company - this is my best excuse to get all those other nasty shopping trolley, parking, etc. dents removed as well. I was going into the second attempt to buy the horribly-expensive OEM third brake light, but that will have to wait. Again.
My collegues agree that it's ironic how I drive through traffic with all those hooligans and taxis out there, but I manage to ding my car right in the garage. :(

BTW, I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section...

LOL dont worry about I dont think the sections matter but what luck you have there well if you were in Miami I would of mentioned "Dent Wizard" I had a dent in my car and they took it out in 5 mins or less leaving the car dentless so it was pretty good.

I just found a company called Dent Magic, and they're about 20mins. from here. Let's hope they have some time for me. :)
If they can't do the job, I'll UPS my car to Miami.
Are there any GTG's on in that area? ;)

Damn man, that don't look pretty  :(
How soon do you want that 3rd brake light? Lemme see if I can find one for you. I'll ship it with that CD I'm yet to burn :o :D

Ozzie: Thanks, that would be great! I'm going on a little MB expedition tomorrow (read, dealerships & scrapyards) but do let me know what you come up with - and what they're charging. :)
My dealership quoted me R870 for the light, R450 for the cabling, and R380 labour to total R1700 installed.
Rand / US$ is around 8.2:1 now.
As for Dent Magic, the guys makes HOUSE CALLS!! I'm waiting for him to pitch up any minute now...

Nothing worse than "hangar rash" (term used to describe damage to planes, while on the ground :) ).
redline

or "dock rash" term used when examining a boats hull to see if the driver is an idiot and can't park.

oh jones,
I feel so bad about that, i would totaly freak out if i did that to my car...but i have a smiliar problem.....my family is very inconsiderate of my car, so when ever they park their car first in the garadge they take op almost most of the space, so when i need to park my benz i have to park it at an angle away from their car door...but still either way, i get 3 new scratches on my door from their door per week..its like they dont care how they open their door, and on the other side i have my oem exhaust, that i have no other place to put, so when i park at an angle, i usually forget it sometimes...and i hit my driver door and make a scratch on....it freaks me out....i need to do something about that

Thanks for all your comments, guys!
Dent-Magic is going to work their magic tomorrow morning at our office, taking 14 dents out for R950. That's not even US$90, and they are accredited by 3 Benz dealerships and the local BMW dealership too! :)
HaFaMaCa:: Got it, thanks. You should hopefully have snail-mail within the next 2 weeks! :)
Elvir:: That's terrible! :( I was brought up to respect a car and not just treat it as a daily conveyance from A ---> B.
My brother once drove my C280 into our garage in Swakopmund and scraped a bit of the front bumper on a cupboard... he apologised profusely and insisted on paying for repairs. I had the front bumper resprayed a few months later (stone chips) and when my brother found out, he still bought me a nice bottle of wine! :)
