Is there anywhere online to buy 744 touch up paint?

I've used the autosharp pen thing, but it doesnt really work right, it comes out like a blob and the color doesnt seem to match the 744 on my car:confused: ,

has anyone used the autosharp pen? What is the best touch up paint and where can I buy it?

Thanks!

Rubbing compound should do it.

tell us how it goes. I need to fix some rock chips on my hood and bumper and the brush from the touchup paint from the dealer just ain't cutting it. oh yeah, show some before/after pics too and tell us how you did it.

You should not have any problems with the pen. It is a finesse product, so maybe it the tip was pressed too hard? The 744 pen is the most popular Mercedes color and is made by the gallon, so the color match is good. It is very important to shake the pen for at least 1 minute.

If anyone has a pen that they were not satisfied with, please contact us and we will remake you a pen at no charge. We are confident you will love the product.

I have the autovisual pen, color 744, too much blob, I ordered some new nibs and waiting to see if that makes a difference.

I've also tried the Langka, on my former ride a dark green BMW Z3, didn't work like advertized.:)

I encountered the same problem and it seems like the nibs get
F$%K up easily. A couple of press to let the paint flow and you get too much blob. I saw this Autovisual one at the stealership and I said look's better than the one with the brush. I even got it cheaper than AutoVisual website and no shipping cost. . LOL!!!! ;) :)

Mine didnt work, just like the 1st pen i ordered...makes a huge blob and the color doesnt seem to match...maybe im missing something? .. I might just get the panels with the most damage resprayed...anyone know how much it costs to spray a door?

Just a door won't work.. you will have to spray the forward panel and the back panel to blend it in.. Gets rather $$$ to paint on any car unless you go to Maaco..

best touch-up I've found is from Paintscratch (http://www.paintscratch.com/). They are hand mixed and the color match is guaranteed.

update: i tried the autosharp/visual pen (black) on the 420SEL a few hours ago; i shook it for a few mins before applying it.

it is pretty darn blobby but it was controllable....the color doesn't really match (it almost looks like the pen's color is greyish black). paint delivery was a little uneven; pushing gently resulted in a large blob of paint near the base that just stayed there and didn't roll down smoothly to the tip.

in short, i guess it's okay, but i'm still looking for a better method.
