ahhhhhhhh My ML55 is leaking powersteering fluid, i have Powersteering fluid alll over the floor on my garage!!!

Very common problem. The NHSTA was looking into this problem. But as of yet, no recalls. The ML's power steering hose and clamp are a very bad design, especially the clamp. It loosens very easily. This has happened to me in the past. Just call up Roadside Assistance and have them do the temp fix. Then bring your ML back into the dealer and have them switch the hose and clamp to the newer style (I believe 2002+). Insist on the newer style clamp and hose!

Yes, the problem seems to be isolated to MLs.

this happened to me once when i borrowed my parents ML. it seems like it is bound to happen to every ML owner sooner or later :(

all the days of anticipation....It has been over 2 weeks that I havnt had my ML to drive around!!! It was supposed to be done this afternoon but one of the clamps didnt come in yet.....oh the agony of waiting. The dealership said it should be done by later today or 2morrow...most likely 2morrow... the wait is killing me!!!!!!
