I was driving on a hilly road when a Mitsubishi Lancer pulled up next to me at a set of lights. It was dumped to within an inch of its life and, I guess, it was an EVO mock up (although it was a coupe).
Anyway, we are sitting at the lights and I noticed he had a turbo timer on his steering column. Just as I looked at it he revved his engine and sounded the blow off valve
So I smiled and looked straigh ahead waiting for the light to change. I take off normally (as it had just rained) and he tries totake off quickly but almost stalls his car :P
We come up to another set of lights. I engage race mode :P and await the green light. He too is eager to race and I can hear him revving his engine in anticipation :P Mean while, I've brought my revs up to about 1500 RPM and I'm waiting.
Light goes green, BOOM, I launch HARD :D My wheels sping, the rear end kicks out and then I am OFF!!!! I pulled about 6 car lengths on him and I never even got out of 2nd gear. He meanwhile had shifted into 4th (I could hear his blow off valve). Had I not lost traction on the take off, I would have gained a few more lengths :)
He caught up with me when I slowed down and gave me the thumbs up. I returned the thumbs up and we went on our separate way :)
