View Full Version : Where do you keep your car keys?

when I'm at my folk's place (in their garage) i'll just leave my keys inside my car or on the roof of my car. When im at my apartment I have a hook my keyes by the front door.

In the UK cars are often stolen WITH THE KEYS, the thieves use a hook through the letter box etc to lift the keys from areas near the front door, like in a bowl or hanging on a hook.

I'm not saying where my keys are kept for security purposes ;)

mine are always inside the house on top of a fireplace in a bowl

there is usually only one set of keys for each car that's "out" (meaning on the collective dish or on a member of the family).. the rest are locked up

I dont know wtf I was writing last night, they aren't by my front door, they're by my kitchen sink. hahaha While i was reading this, i was thinking "who would leave their keys near the front door?"

so what if u loose your lock key,....and u also loose ur car key...how do u get the spare ones:D

I've got a little glass box on my desk where I keep my car key and 2 rings that I wear often. My spare keys are kept in my safe, along with my radio code :P

Edit: Since you are simply asking about car keys - Moving to Autotalk ;)

sometimes i even leave my car running if i m just grabbing something quick

i figure if they want the car ....well go ahead and take it i got insurance

Two cars are in the garage and the Honda is outside... all the keys are kept on hooks in the mudroom farrr away from the door :P

You guys are crazy... keys in the car? :confused: :rolleyes: :eek:

I lock up everything inside and out... there have been incidents where someone has opened the garage and forgot to close it and where punks have tried to open the garage.

House got egged once... good thing the car outside was locked up and windows up or they could've stolen it.

Btw I live in a nice neighbourhood North of Richmond Hill :P
