Minor Sub Upgrade

I bought a 10in JL audio 0w10 a ported box with a plexiglass see through (i know people tells me that a enclosed box is better for this sub....but for some reason the first enclosed box wasn't loud enuff....so i went back and got the ported box instead)

the amp is from the small pioneer 140w amp that i used in my MR-S....i know the amp might be a little underpower for the sub but is cool for now

the old pioneer 8in powered sub tube that was in the MBZ is going into the TT

hey crazy!!....those are the same subs i have!!....except i have two of them and a JL 250 W amp....and i have a ported rox box...i felt the same with the enclosure....sealed was not loud enuff so i got ported...

ull be pretty happy with their performance....only if you're not an audiophile....(which im becoming and im startin to see the negative points about the sub)

i got the 8in pioneer sub installed today in the TT and DAMN is LOUD since is a hatch back (aka no trunk seperation)....is A LOT louder than when it was in the MBZ

there was some issues with the install problem.......too complicated to talk about it :P but then is fixed now

oh you mean the one in the TT??

oh that's a old pioneer tube that i've got which used to be in the benz

i got it wayyyyy back in like 1998 and it was a very good deal (160w 8in tube) it was like $200 installed caz the stereo shop was closing out all the tubes that they've got...the bazooka would have been in the $300 range

(and i didn't have that much $$ back then to spend on extra stuff like that)
